Maple Brownies (Gluten and Dairy Free)

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Real Maple Syrup
  • 2 Cups Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour
  • 1 TSP Baking Powder
  • 1/2 TSP Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 TSP Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 Cups +2 TBSP Melted Coconut Oil
  • 1 Egg Large

Instructions

  • Start by boiling the maple syrup in a saucepan and reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes. This will help it reduce to 3/4 cup. Once reduced, let cool to room temperature.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8x8 pan.
  • In a bowl, or stand mixer, beat together the brown sugar, coconut oil, vanilla, and egg.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Slowly add the flour mixture and syrup to the sugar mixture, alternating between additions.
  • Once the batter is well mixed, pour into the 8x8 pan. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Enjoy!
