Maple Brownies (Gluten and Dairy Free)
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Real Maple Syrup
- 2 Cups Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour
- 1 TSP Baking Powder
- 1/2 TSP Salt
- 1/2 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
- 2 TSP Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 Cups +2 TBSP Melted Coconut Oil
- 1 Egg Large
Instructions
- Start by boiling the maple syrup in a saucepan and reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes. This will help it reduce to 3/4 cup. Once reduced, let cool to room temperature.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8x8 pan.
- In a bowl, or stand mixer, beat together the brown sugar, coconut oil, vanilla, and egg.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Slowly add the flour mixture and syrup to the sugar mixture, alternating between additions.
- Once the batter is well mixed, pour into the 8x8 pan. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Enjoy!
