Beef Stroganoff (Gluten and Dairy Free!)
Ingredients
- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- 1 Small Yellow Onion Diced
- 1 TSP Minced Garlic
- 2 1/2 Cups Chicken or Beef Broth
- 1 TSP Beef Better Than Bouillion or 1 Beef Bouillion Cube
- 1 TSP Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 TSP Onion Powder
- 1 TSP Garlic Powder
- 1/2 TSP Dried Thyme
- 1 1/2 CUP Almond Milk Can use regular milk.
- 1/2 TSP Salt
- 1/2 TSP Black Pepper
- 3 TBSP Arrowroot Powder Can use flour.
- 3 TBSP Butter Substitute Bacon Grease
- 12 oz. Gluten Free Pasta
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package directions.
- While noodles are cooking, brown ground beef in a skillet, along with the diced onion and garlic.
- In a bowl, combine broth, bouillon, worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, milk, salt and pepper.
- Once the ground beef is thoroughly cooked, drain the grease and set the meat mixture aside in a separate bowl.
- While skillet is still on heat, melt butter substitute.
- Add the arrowroot powder and whisk.
- Now, slowly add the liquid mixture and whisk continuously. The mixture will thicken as it cooks. Only cook until it is the consistency you desire.
- Once the sauce is done, you can mix in the ground beef, or serve it separately with noodles. Enjoy
